We write, we don’t read
CalendarPal only creates, updates and deletes the events it added for you. It doesn’t read your existing calendar. The one exception: if your authorisation expires, a single one-event request confirms access is back — nothing from it is stored or shown.
Calendar access is optional
Signing in asks for your identity only — no calendar permission. If you’d rather never grant calendar access, subscribe to your private feed link instead; it works in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar and anything else that reads .ics.
The narrowest scope that works
When you do switch on instant Google sync, CalendarPal asks for calendar.events — permission to manage events — never full-calendar or read-everything access.
Your feed link is yours
The calendar feed lives at a private, unguessable URL that only you get. Share it by accident and you can reset it in one click — the old link stops updating immediately.

Does CalendarPal read my existing calendar?

What happens when a fixture time changes?
The event you already have is updated in place on the next sync. When a kick-off moves or a venue is confirmed, CalendarPal changes that event rather than leaving a stale one behind.
Can I use CalendarPal with Apple Calendar or Outlook?
Yes. Your private feed link is a standard .ics calendar feed, so it works in Apple Calendar, Outlook, Google Calendar and anything else that can subscribe to a calendar feed.
How do I remove everything?
Revoke CalendarPal at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or email us to request full deletion of your account data. Revoking stops future syncing immediately, and the events already in your calendar are yours to keep or delete as you like.
